Sharing

The Luna church of Christ gathered food for holiday baskets. Then Solange and others made those baskets pretty, and then we took them to families that needed them. Those that received this gift expressed so much gratitude. Here are some who received a basket: This is Ana and her kids. One year and a half ago, Ana became paralyzed from the waist down. She is studying the Bible with us.  This is the family that lives in a circus, which has been closed since the pandemic started. They have been coming to church even though they have been camping out in a nearby city. Let us always share our blessings because Christ shared with us.

English Pizza

We offer Bible studies in English for those who want to practice their English. It is a way to get somebody who would not normally study the Bible to get a taste for God's Word.  We invited the students to get together at the all-you-can-eat pizza place. Most are still taking precautions about getting out in public, but some came, and we spent the night speaking in English, discussing the Bible and plans for 2021, and eating pizza.  Let God give us an abundance of opportunities for His Kingdom and the vision to take advantage of them in 2021!

Class of 2020, by David McKinney

Our young missionaries, in the AME program, have just completed their nine-month training in Joao Pessoa. This class started with nine students but only eight finished this first part of the program. They had to deal with the Covid-19 protocols and social contact restrictions. They responded well to the situation, although the pandemic limited certain training activities, such as, visitation and campaigns. The church had an all-night prayer vigil for them. This meeting is done in a dynamic way, using singing, small groups, coffee and snacks to help keep the participants awake. In one of the activities, we divided up into three groups. The students would rotate among the groups as we prayed over them and expressed to them our appreciation. I ended up in the same group with Ayane, AME secretary, and Raniere, AME director. The three of us spent a lot time with the students on a weekly basis. As we spoke to each student, the word that kept being repeated over and over was GROWTH .
